Call Green Power
What is the Call Green Power?
Through the Call Green Power of the Flemish Energy and Climate Agency (VEKA). can both the self-employed and corporations that invest in new solar panels obtain a subsidy.
This support scheme replaces Flemish green energy certificates for medium-sized installations since 2021. For larger power classes, green power certificates can be used on a permanent basis. Smaller power classes up to 10 kVA inverter power are eligible for Fluvius' premium solar panels.
When can I call on the Call Green Power?
They must be installations with inverter power from 25kW to 5MW.
Support can only be applied for new installations that are not eligible for green certificates.
How much is the Call Green Power?
Aid can only be requested for investment and installation costs. Are therefore not eligible:
- operating costs and benefits
- engineering costs
- costs of permit applications
The support in 2022 was a maximum of €22/MWh. This support is determined per call and is not yet known for 2023.
How can I apply for the Call Green Power?
The application is done digitally through the Flemish government's energy portal.
The applicant must demonstrate that his project meets all the conditions, must indicate the amount of financial support the project is requesting, and must calculate the expected energy yield of the planned installation using the PVGIS software (for solar panels). Given the technicality of the application, it is best to enlist the help of your supplier.
The projects are ranked in ascending order based on the ratio of requested support to expected energy output over the life of the facility. Thus, the project with the lowest ratio of requested support to expected energy output is ranked best. According to this ranking, the projects are subsidized until the budget of the call is exhausted.
There are three calls each year in the Green Power Call.
