Over the next few weeks, the Social Inspectorate will spend a month targeting companies in the services sector Monitor compliance with the homework requirement.

Indeed, employees whose jobs lend themselves to working from home must be required to work from home. Only those employees who, due to the nature of their job or the continuity of business operations, need to be present at the workplace are not required to work from home.

In addition, employees present in the company must be able to present a certificate from the employer showing why working from home is impossible for them.

The checks would initially have a dissuasive approach. Violators would receive a warning in the first instance and could then expect to be subjected to a second inspection. If another violation is found, administrative or criminal sanctions may be imposed.
