We still use the car too much (on our own) to travel to work. In the near future, the share of bicycle, public transport and carpooling in commuting should increase and the share of solo trips by car should decrease. The Commuter Fund supports projects of companies that pursue this objective.
New Call
On May 2, a new call of the Commuter Fund was launched with a focus on projects that improve the connection between public transport and the workplace. Under this call, companies with offices in Flanders and who are developing a project that focuses on "the last mile" are encouraged to submit a dossier. Examples include the purchase of folding bicycles and scooters. Innovative bicycle stimulation projects such as the development of an app for reserving shared bicycles for commuting, a bicycle locker system and innovative sharing systems are also encouraged. Special attention is also paid to cooperation between companies, preferably located on business parks and to projects of SMEs.
How much is the support?
The grant amounts to a maximum of half of the costs associated with project implementation, with a maximum of €200,000 when a company submits alone. This maximum amount increases depending on whether the project is submitted by two or more companies.

How to apply.
A file number must be here applications before June 1, 2022. You then have until September 1, 2022 to complete the grant application. The project duration is a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 years.
During the application, there is regular interaction with the Provincial Mobility Point of the province in which the enterprise is located.
