Legal expertise and entrepreneurship

Have you already gained extensive experience as a legal expert in M&A and would you like to apply your expertise to acquisition projects? Does the following energize you: legal expertise and collaboration with other experts?

If so, this position is like M&A Lawyer at Titeca Pro Experts Maybe your next step.

As an M&A Lawyer, you’ll support entrepreneurs during key moments, such as growth, acquisitions, transfers, or restructurings. You’ll contribute to M&A projects and translate legal issues into clear and practical solutions. In doing so, you’ll work closely with colleagues from departments such as corporate finance, tax, and accounting.

What Your Day as an M&A Lawyer Looks Like

M&A from A to Z

As an M&A Lawyer, you will help with the full legal M&A process, from the initial negotiations through closing and post-closing. You’re not just a transaction lawyer, but a strategic sounding board and confidant.

The following aspects, among others, are addressed during an acquisition process:

  • analyzing complex legal issues and risks;
  • drafting and finalizing transaction documentation and agreements;
  • providing legal guidance and coordinating M&A transactions;
  • advising business owners on legal and strategic issues;
  • translate legal risks into clear, workable solutions;
  • making complex legal matters accessible to non-lawyers;
  • Actively participating in discussions and negotiations with clients and other stakeholders.

In M&A, you’ll have the opportunity to leverage your own strengths. Whether you draw energy primarily from in-depth legal work or from advising and negotiating, you’ll contribute to strong M&A deals based on your expertise.  Throughout the entire M&A process, you maintain a keen eye for legal accuracy as well as the impact on relationships and reputation.

Legal expertise and strategic advice

You look beyond the legal issue alone and always keep the broader business context in mind. Drawing on your legal expertise, you work alongside entrepreneurs to help them make important decisions and navigate changes within their businesses.

In addition to M&A, you may also be involved in broader business and corporate law matters, such as restructurings, shareholder structures, governance, and corporate contracting.

Collaborating and Sharing Knowledge

You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary environment where lawyers collaborate with colleagues from corporate finance, tax, and accounting. This means you won’t view a case from just one perspective, but from the entrepreneur’s full story.

You bring your M&A experience to the table and are eager to share your knowledge with colleagues. Together, you pool your expertise to provide entrepreneurs with the best possible guidance during an acquisition.

Your "both-and" profile

M&A expertise and a broad legal perspective

You have a Master of Laws and preferably has at least 7 years of relevant legal experience in M&A. In addition, you have a keen interest in business and corporate law.

You are familiar with the various steps in an M&A process and have spacious experience in drafting legal transaction documentation. You know what it takes to successfully complete a transaction from a legal standpoint.

In addition, you’re not afraid to take a seat at the negotiating table and actively participates in negotiations about contractual agreements and legal considerations.

Legally sound and solution-oriented

You enjoy diving into complex legal issues, but you never lose sight of the bigger picture. You think ahead, take responsibility, and proactively seek solutions that are both legally sound and practical for the business owner. You also consider the impact of legal advice and agreements reached on the parties involved and their relationships with one another.

Independent and a team player

You’ll be given autonomy and responsibility, but you won’t be on your own. You’ll work closely with colleagues who have diverse areas of expertise, share knowledge, and be flexible when a case calls for it. You adapt quickly when priorities change and enjoy working together to achieve strong results.

Experienced and curious

You’ve already gained a great deal of experience, but you’re eager to keep learning. You’re open to new ways of working and to the possibilities offered by AI and digital tools. You don’t need to be an expert in these areas. We value an open, critical mindset and a willingness to learn how to make the most of these tools even more.
