New ESF call for training

In order to encourage lifelong learning, ESF-Flanders is launching a new call for projects on 1 November concerning training for workers. Companies and organizations with an establishment in Flanders can receive up to 80,000 euros in aid if they allow their employees to follow certain training courses in the coming years.

 

What?

Training should be framed within the 8 clusters of 21st century skills:

  1. digital literacy (ICT, media literacy, computational thinking, data processing)
  2. communicate
  3. creative thinking and acting
  4. critical thinking
  5. problem-solving thinking and acting
  6. cooperate
  7. social and cultural skills
  8. self-regulation

 

Only employees with at most a secondary education degree and those over 50 are eligible as course participants.

 

For whom?

The call focuses on SMEs as a priority. Only if the budget is still sufficient will large companies also be considered.

 

How much?

The grant provides for an intervention of 70% (for RDs) or 50% (for MOs and GOs) in incurred and demonstrated training costs and amounts to a maximum of 80,000 euros.

 

How to apply.

A project proposal must be submitted through the online ESF application at www.esf-agentschap.be.

 

When?

The call is still open until January 31, 2021. Upon approval of the project proposal, training can start on May 1, 2021 for a period of 15 months. Consequently, the deadline for the training project is July 31, 2022.
